The Sirens and Spirits Mission
Sirens and Spirits is a collective founded in 2024 by Dominique Muñoz in San Diego, California dedicated to uniting and elevating the community of women in bartending through all-women pop-ups and cocktail competitions. Our mission is to create opportunities for women in the industry while fostering mentorship, collaboration and professional growth.
We are committed to creating safe spaces where women and nonbinary bartenders can explore their creativity, develop their craft, form friendships and build confidence—especially within competitive spaces. Through education, mentorship and community, we aim to equip the next generation of women bartenders with the tools, knowledge and encouragement they need to step forward and be seen.
Sirens and Spirits celebrates the artistry, passion and leadership women bring to the world of spirits. Together, we strive to inspire, empower and support one another while shaping a more inclusive and vibrant future for the industry.
More than a competition, a community.
At Sirens & Spirits, education and mentorship are at the core of every competition we create. We intentionally spotlight greener bartenders—those who may be stepping into competitions for the first time—and pair them with experienced industry mentors who guide them through the process of competing. Additionally, in collaboration with our supporting brands, we host dedicated educational sessions before the competitions that give competitors a deeper understanding of the spirits they’re working with. By combining hands-on learning with meaningful mentorship, we create an environment where emerging talent feels supported, empowered and ready to grow—both behind the bar and beyond.
